Welcome to the International Cadaver Workshop for Percutaneous Endoscopic Spine Surgery 2012

On behalf of the Korean Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery Research Society (KOMISS), I cordially invite you to the International Cadaver Workshop for Percutaneous Endoscopic Spine Surgery 2012, KOMISS Hands-on Course that will take place on Saturday 17th - Sunday 18th November, 2012 in Seoul, Korea. It will be the first international Workshop hosted by KOMISS.
Whether you have been practicing Percutaneous Endoscopic Surgery for many years or you are new to the field, we are confident that you will find this comprehensive hands-on cadaver workshop to be beneficial as it will discuss new and relevant information necessary to keep in step with the state of the art of endoscopic spinal surgery.

Through faculty supervised hands-on training, the participants will be given a better understanding of PELD (Percutaneous Endoscopic Lumbar Discectomy), and PECD (Percutaneous Endoscopic Cervical Discectomy), thus enhancing surgical skills and improving patient care.
The participant to faculty ratio will be no more than 2:1 and there will be four or less participants per cadaver with a maximum of six hours of hands on work with the cadavers. This should give the participants sufficient time and opportunity to master new techniques under the supervision of experienced and qualified faculty. Upon your request, we can connect you with prominent spine centers so that you may observe live surgeries before or after the workshop.
Several lectures, highlighted by a special lecture by Dr. Anthony Yeung, and Live Surgery are prepared - We have made many preparations to make this workshop a valuable learning course.
Kindly bring in your difficult cases/problems to discuss with fellow professionals as there will be extensive opportunities to exchange ideas and experiences.

Please make your plans to attend early as availability is limited.

Looking forward to meeting you in Seoul.

Sincerely,
